Dr. Crandall graduated from Upper St. Clair High School and completed his BS degree in Pre-Medicine at Pennsylvania State University where he was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Medical Honorary Society. He received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine in 1983.
His first practice was opened in Cranberry Township in 1984, followed by his Upper St. Clair location in 1985. In 1990 he received his training for placement of Dental Implants, studying under Dr. Jack Hahn. He then completed course work with Dr. Frank Spears at the Seattle Institute where he trained in cosmetics and complex restorative dentistry. From 1995 through 1999 he attended the Pankey Institute in Florida where he learned in detail about occlusal disease and how the teeth can function in harmony with the jaw joints to help people suffering with Tmj problems.
After years of commuting, he sold his Cranberry office in 2001 and practices solely in his Upper St. Clair location. In his pursuit of excellence, he has continued to take additional course work on complex restorative dentistry in all of it’s aspects. He considers himself to be a lifelong student in the pursuit of excellence. In 2004 he added his certification in providing Invisalign® treatment and Cerec restorations. In 2016 he got certified for Pinhole Rejuvenation.
Dr. Johnson completed her undergraduate education at Indiana University before earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the prestigious University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She then completed the renowned General Practice Residency program at the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she received exceptional training under the guidance of leading dental experts. Dr. Johnson’s advanced training includes crown and bridge, root canal therapy, the pinhole technique, implants, as well as cosmetic and restorative dental treatments.
Dr. Johnson has furthered her education by attending the Pankey Institute, where she studied and treated TMJ and occlusion to provide each patient with long-lasting and functional care. She has also trained with Frank Spear at the Spear Institute in cosmetics and comprehensive restorative dentistry and is a member of the local Spear Study Club.
Recently appointed as a Partner at South Hills Dental Arts, Dr. Johnson now leads alongside Dr. Crandall, ensuring that their patients receive extraordinary care for years to come.
Dr. Moore is a highly accomplished dentist who received both her undergraduate degree and postgraduate dental degree from Indiana University. Her dental career began in Bloomington, IN, where she actively participated in various community outreach programs and pursued numerous continuing education courses to expand her knowledge and expertise.
Over the years, Dr. Moore has undergone advanced training for specialty treatments, including crown and bridge, endodontics, implant, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry. Her knowledge of the latest techniques and tools ensures each of her patients gets the very best possible outcome.
Dr. Moore takes pride in delivering personalized, compassionate care to her patients, and she is delighted to have recently relocated to Pittsburgh to be closer to her family. With her wealth of knowledge and dedication to her craft, Dr. Moore is committed to helping you achieve your healthiest smile yet.
Dr. Liu completed her dental degree from Pitt Dental Medicine in 2021, followed by a one-year General Practice Residency at Wellspan York Hospital. She is a compassionate dentist who is dedicated to providing exceptional oral healthcare to patients of all ages.
She believes in taking a comprehensive care approach to dental health, focusing not only on treating dental issues but also on disease prevention and patient education. Dr. Liu is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. She completed a master’s course at the Advanced Implant Center, and she has experience in treating patients with special needs and disabilities.
Outside of the office, Dr. Liu enjoys participating in dental outreach programs such as Mission of Mercy to donate her time and expertise to underserved communities. She also likes to spend time with her husband and her puppy, Charlie. Besides English, she is fluent in speaking Mandarin and Cantonese.
Dr. Zenas Zhuang, DMD, is a compassionate and highly skilled dentist proudly serving the South Hills community at Smiles One Family Dentistry. A Pittsburgh native from Peters Township, Dr. Zhuang earned both his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pittsburgh. Dedicated to delivering exceptional, modern care, he recently completed a mini-residency in implant dentistry through Alabama Implant Education, expanding his expertise in comprehensive treatment planning and surgical procedures.
Dr. Zhuang is known for his commitment to continual learning and staying at the forefront of dental advancements. His approach blends clinical excellence with genuine compassion, ensuring each patient receives the highest standard of care in a comfortable, welcoming environment.
Dr. Yousef graduated with high honors from dental school, which led her to be selected for a two-year hospital-based general practice residency program at Western Reserve Health in Ohio. During her residency, she received comprehensive training in a broad range of dental procedures, including pre-prosthetic, bone grafting and implant surgeries, sleep apnea, and cosmetic treatments.
Driven by a desire to provide patients with cutting-edge care, Dr. Yousef went through advanced implant and orthodontics training. This led her to achieve several prestigious accolades, including American Academy of Implant Dentistry Associate Fellowship, the International Association of Orthodontics Active Status, and the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship. In addition to being a certified Invisalign provider, Dr. Yousef specializes in traditional wire braces and fast braces. Dr. Yousef is well-versed in TMJ, occlusal therapy, and aesthetic dentistry, having received comprehensive training by the Dawson Academy. She is also certified by the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics to offer Botox and dermal fillers.
After practicing in Florida and Ohio, Dr. Yousef and her husband, a native of Upper St. Clair, moved back to their hometown in 2017. Since then, she has been a proud member of the South Hills Dental Arts team.
Outside of work, Dr. Yousef loves to spend time with her husband and three sons, explore new places together, and try new recipes. She is dedicated to serving her community and is eager to provide the best possible dental care to all her patients at South Hills Dental Arts.
